Some things I know.... - from Sister Kaity Aug. 17th 2014 (Her Last Letter!)

...and some things I've learned (just to name a few):

God is our Father. Literally. He loves us and He will always do what is best for us.

He is also the most patient being in the universe. That means He has perfect patience with YOU.

This is God's work. Not mine. He let's me participate in it to change and bless me. The work is a blessing.

Freedom, true freedom, includes escaping any kind of self-slavery. This includes never being a slave to emotions and appetites.

Do it now. Choose today. Or make specific plans how to do it another time.

Gratitude can change your life. We must learn to be full of it despite our circumstances.

ACT. Do not be acted upon (see 2 Nephi 2)

Obedience brings understanding.

Sacrifice and consecration bring real spiritual growth and miracles.

God will reward when we look towards the mark and go the extra mile.

If you set out to find yourself, you'll never find you. We must must must forget ourselves. Then, you will be YOU.

We must stop criticizing! Stop this, and relationships will heal. Patiently endure others weaknesses and love them.

Perfectionism is ultimately trying to save yourself. We must give ourselves fully to the Savior. Have total faith in His Atonement, and you will find peace.

Talk to more people. There are people who need YOU and YOUR love.

The scriptural "fullness of joy" is felt in your soul. It is not pleasure.  It comes through living the principles of the gospel.

Do all that you can to serve now, even if it seems small, even insignificant. In time, God will expand your ability to serve Him and others.

God speaks. He did, He does, He will.

Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He restored the one and only church true church of Christ.

The Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is the key to conversion.

The more you follow the Spirit, the more he will lead you. You'll always be grateful for following a prompting.

When you think you can't go on, pray always, and just love. Loving isn't too hard, and it will make you want to go on.

Satan will do everything he can to keep you from enduring to the end. But you must! There are so many unknown blessings waiting for you in the future. 18 months ago, I had NO CLUE what wonderful things the Lord had in store for me. Oh, how grateful I am that I have endured to the end. Have faith that the blessings are out there in your future. Have hope for them. That's what I am mustering up right now, hope.

I love you all so much!
See you Friday!

Forever,
