My beloved friends and family,
Nunca Estamos Solo.
Okay, I forgot to explain my title last week lol. If you know me, you most likely know i think Sour cream is the worst creation in the history of this earth. We were eating taquitos the other day, and this old Señora just poured a butt load of sour cream all over them. So having no choice, I started eating them and it was seriously SO DELICIOUS! Mexican Sour cream is so good. Its almost like cream cheese actually. but yathats it.
ALSO what I've learned is that here, you will either eat the best food in all history or the worst food in history. this week we ate the head of a chicken. We each got one, and took it out of the bag and it kinda just dangled there. We were just standing in the middle of the town center, just crying of laughter because it was so disgusting. it had the neck and everything. You could taste the little esophagus and everything. It was weird.
I feel so lost in the work, and with all the rejections, excuses, let downs The Father of all Evil has put on our shoulders, there is not one time where the burden has felt too heavy. As we ask for specific blessings in our personal prayers, know that God will grant them, but he wont bless you with them without testing your worthiness. Thus, as you ask and face that test or trial, keep in mind that that is a trial of your Faith. As we become better at doing so, overcoming the challenges of live become far easier. "Faith is a mental exertion, rather than physical force." This week we were blessed with my first baptisms in the mission.(: We baptized three people, Hermana Guadalupe, Hermana Lopez, and Hermano Lucas. How beautiful and happy and hard this experience has been, these three have been working with the missionaries for three years. And for whatever reason, God has blessed Elder Arrieta and I with the power and Spirit to tell them exactly what they needed to hear at exactly the right time. Being able to be a guide in their lives has brought me joy i have never experienced in my life, a type of joy that you will only feel on the Lords errand. Though Baptism is important, because it is making a covenant with God for Eternity, the more important thing to know is to be converted to his love, which is the gospel. We are all sons and daughters of a heavenly father, who has been guiding your steps since you have been born. When we allow this to enter into our soul, I promise you will feel a spark of remembrance of how it felt to be in Gods presence, the very creator of our souls, the God of Love. When this happens, we begin to live with Real Intent. A wonderful friend sent me a talk about the Purpose of Real Intent, and I loved it so much. I know that when we have a distinct purpose for this day, week, and life, and consistently asking God what he would have you do, we will never need to question our actions.
Its been a happy week(:

Pic 1. The family we were able to Baptize. Like I said, the family has been with missionaries for 3 years, so there were a bunch of other missionaries there (hence the reason for the sisters in the pic).(:
Pic 2. Another ghetto pic. Idk if this or the iron in a bucket of water is more ghetto, but this is what we workout with lol. A rusted rod, with two soda bottles at the end filled with concrete.
